Virginia S. Cowen, PhD has over 18 years’ experience in higher education teaching and administration. She has mentored over forty graduate students on applied projects involving original research or evidence-based education for health professionals. A successful grant awardee, she has contributed to research on medical education, designed studies on exercise, massage, and yoga, and has served as a peer reviewer for scientific journals and grant panels. She is the author of three books and founder of PathoApp (a mobile app study guide.) Her YouTube channel provides research skill tutorials. Dr. Cowen has taught at Rutgers University, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, City University of New York—Queensborough Community College, Arizona State University, and Mesa Community College. She serves as a consultant to healthcare professionals and companies in the wellness sector specializing in evidence-based care, data analysis and interpretation, and nonpharmacologic interventions. She holds degrees from Arizona State University, Columbia University, and Indiana University.
